POLONEZ BIS Privacy Policy   version 1.0 of 1 March 2021

Introduction

POLONEZ BIS Privacy Policy complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Below you will find information how POLONEZ BIS website collects, uses and discloses information.

This Privacy Policy applies when you visit our website and use its contents, tabs or online forms that refer to or display a link to this Policy. In addition, we may also ask you to agree to the terms and conditions for particular services available on the website.

About us

POLONEZ BIS is a project coordinated by the Polish National Science Centre and cofounded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 programme under Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions.

The controller of the data is the National Science Centre (NCN) with its registered office in Kraków at ul. Twardowskiego 16, 30-312 Kraków.

The protection of your personal data is an important matter for the NCN and the POLONEZ BIS Coordination Team. Therefore, we have taken technical and organisational measures to ensure that data protection regulations are observed both by us and by external service providers.

Whenever we share personal information with third parties, they are required to use appropriate safeguards to protect personal information, and they can only access the personal information that is necessary for performing their specific tasks.

We may also have to share data with governmental authorities and regulators, as required under the applicable law.

Data about your navigation to and within our website

During each visit to the POLONEZ BIS website, the site automatically collects and stores data transmitted from your browser to our server. This includes:

  • type and version of your internet browser
  • operating system used
  • the page visited
  • the page visited before our website (referrer URL)
  • time of the server inquiry
  • client IP address

POLONEZ BIS analyses the above data solely for statistical purposes in order to measure the demand for web offerings on the POLONEZ BIS website. This data is impossible to trace back to a specific individual and is not merged with other data sources. Aggregated data may be transferred to third parties for the reporting purposes.

IP addresses are stored for 60 months to detect and prevent attacks on the infrastructure. After that time the IP addresses are deleted. Data collected from visits to the POLONEZ BIS website is shared with third parties only when required by law or court order or in cases when attacks on the infrastructure of the POLONEZ BIS programme make it necessary to forward such data for the purposes of legal action or criminal prosecution. Data will not be transferred for any other reason.

Personal data

On our website, personal data is collected and stored as database only to the extent that is technically necessary and only if you register or subscribe to use specific services e.g. POLONEZ BIS Newsletter. Such personal data is used to manage your access to and use of such services. Your personal data is not disclosed to the public unless you have given an informed consent to such disclosure. This data may also be used for research (e.g. impact assessments, surveys) and reporting purposes.

E-Mails to the POLONEZ BIS Coordination Team

When you send an e-mail to one of the addresses given in the website Contact Tab, this e-mail and your e-mail address will be used solely for correspondence purposes. You consent to forwarding your e-mail among the POLONEZ BIS Coordination Team or NCN employees in order to provide you with optimal support.

Right to information

At any time, you have the right to obtain information on the data stored about you, and the right to correct, complete or  transfer your personal data. You may also request that we delete your personal data, restrict or stop processing your personal information. If you have consented to us keeping you informed about our services, you have the right to withdraw this consent at any time.

Updates

This is version 1.0 of the Privacy Policy, effective as of March 1, 2021. In the case this Privacy Policy is updated, a new date and version will be added to the document header.
