Short summary of activities and expertiseFrom May to August 2022, I participated in an internship at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Institute of Philosophy and Sociology (Warsaw, Poland). The topic of my research is "Woman, War and social inequality". The research focuses on women and mothers with children who, in the conditions of war, learn new roles, adapt to the new reality, and build their lives in a significantly new coordinate system. Mothers with children, who try on new roles in war conditions, are that social group, which is extremely vulnerable due to the fact that a woman has to take responsibility not only for herself but also for her children. Accordingly, quite a lot of women in war conditions experience serious financial difficulties, women and mothers with children face serious dangers such as human trafficking, the risk of falling into labor or sexual slavery. The focus of the study are women's life and survival strategies in the conditions of the new social reality. Study of the objective reality in which women, including mothers with children, have to live. Research is based on data from qualitative research conducted in June-July 2022 in Warsaw by me. The collected material includes 32 interviews (IDI). 32 Ukrainian women of different ages, social status, marital status, levels of education, and financial well-being, from different parts of Ukraine. Different life destinies and one tragedy for all - the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine. Empirical sociological research aimed at factors that increase the life chances in a new country, what difficulties of adaptation had to be faced; what are the prospects of returning to Ukraine and expectations from life in Poland. In addition, the factors of going abroad will be studied, research of starting positions (objective status, level of material well-being, level of education, level of social capital, marital status of a woman, employment of a woman, women’s self-assessment of chances and prospects for upward vertical social mobility
