| Short summary of activities and expertise | Dr I. Jénnifer Gómez has mainly focused on the synthesis, functionalization, bioapplications and photocatalytic applications of low dimensional materials. In particular, she has deeply explored the preparation and characterization of carbon nanodots and graphene quantum dots by bottom-up approaches. Concerning 2D materials as graphene and MoS2, she addressed in collaboration with Thermo Fisher Scientific a new strategy for preparing graphene membranes and its use in charged particle optic. Regarding MoS2, she has deeply explored its structural characterization. Dr. Gómez has also worked on organic synthesis, novel multicomponent cycloaddition reactions and tandem N-arylations with arynes. |
