Short summary of activities and expertiseI am currently working as an assistant professor (temporary contract) at Department of Nanoscience & Advanced Materials, Saurashtra University, Rajkot, India. My Ph.D. dissertation deals with the studies on the correlation of electronic structure with various properties such as, resistive switching, ferroelectric and dielectric behavior for nonvolatile memory applications. My research as a doctorate fellow also includes study on the magnetic properties of the multifunctional materials (mainly ABO3 type perovskite) and their electronic structure correlation by exploring various spectroscopic techniques i.e. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and X-ray absorption spectroscopy using large scale experimental facilities (INDUS 1 and INDUS 2 beamline of RRCAT Indore). I have communicated my research work at various reputed forums by delivering oral and poster presentations. I am well verse with different experimental techniques and synthesizing mixed oxide nanomaterials using, sol-gel technique and co-precipitation and conventional solid-state reaction route for polycrystalline bulk. I have experience in thin film deposition using the Pulsed Laser Deposition technique (PLD), DC/RF sputtering and Spin coating method. In addition, I am well conversant in using various experimental characterization facilities viz. X-ray diffraction, X-ray reflectivity (XRR), low temperature resistivity, P-E loop measurement, dielectric, I-V, physical quantity measurement setup (PQMS) and particularly X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy, X-ray Absorption Spectroscopy for electronic structure study of Multiferroics and spintronic materials. I have used various software and simulation techniques such as, Rietveld refinement, Parrot, Athena, CTM4XAS and XRUMP for understanding the various properties of the polycrystalline bulk and films.
