Short summary of activities and expertiseI'm passionate about tribal/indigenous health action research by forging collaborations with academic/npn-profit institutions, mentoring students and securing research grants from agencies like Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). My research entitlements include being co-investigator on five of ICMR research grants in the domain of maternal and child health, and road traffic accidents, scientific presentations in national and international conferences and peer-reviewed publications in PUBMED-indexed journals. My experiences include community based research starting from needs assessment, conceptualization, protocol development, grant writing to research project implementation, supervision, monitoring, scientific report writing, and dissemination of study findings. Recently, I'm focused around leveraging big data and data analytics applications for public health informatics and enabling open-access platform to share vital epidemiological insights with grassroots health functionaries through automated analysis of open-access global datasets such as Demographic and Health Survey (DHS). Use of technology for public health awareness among young adults through University-level digital application(s), incentivizing 'appropriate' public health behaviors and health seeking aptitude are among my current research interests.
