Short summary of activities and expertiseThe International Centre for Cancer Vaccine Science (ICCVS) is an innovative partnership between the University of Gdańsk and the University of Edinburgh addressing a major challenge in cancer medicine. The ICCVS has been established at the University of Gdańsk in 2017, supported by the Foundation for Polish Science. ICCVS aims to create a world-leading research cluster in the discovery, characterization and translation of molecular mechanisms in cancer immunological science. Focus is on conducting research programmes in the field of cancer science as applied to the immune interface. Discovery cancer science at ICCVS aims to be translated into vaccine technologies, drug discovery programmes, and novel therapeutics. ICCVS is a multidisciplinary research and technology centre that brings together core expertise in cancer immunology and immunotherapy, molecular, biochemical and cell biology, proteogenomics, bioinformatics, computational science, structural biology, synthetic biology and translational studies. www.iccvs.ug.edu.pl
